The pack’s cemetery was not a new place to me. I visited Jocelyn my mom, almost all the time. 

It’s weird, but I liked the cemetery. I liked how quiet it can be. The only noise here was the rustling of leaves under my feet. 

From where I was, I could see Alpha Leo. He was standing before a tombstone holding a bouquet of carnations. I looked down at my hands and smiled, I was holding something similar, 

I took a deep breath, walked slowly to him and I gently placed my hand on his shoulder when I got to him. 

“You said you were not coming, so why are you here?” 

I pulled my hand from his shoulder. “I did not mean what I said. It is my duty to be here after all.” 

He said nothing. He just kept on standing solemnly. 

I took in another deep breath. “The past few weeks have been hell for me. I had to deal with some things all by myself. Most of the decisions I made were not really mine.” 

Alpha Leo turned to me. “You did not have to deal with anything by yourself. You have me.” 

“If I told you anything, there would have been dire consequences.” 

Alpha Leo leaned closer. I could feel his hot breath on my face. “If anybody had hurt you, there would have been dire consequences and I think I have done a great job in getting the message out. You just can’t see it. No one can hurt you scot free when I know. Every other person knows this except you.” 

I could see the sincerity in his eyes. I was just too scared to believe him. What if he betrays my trust?

“Well everything is much better now. Nobody can control me again. I solved my problem and that’s why I can do what I want now.” I smiled. “One of which is coming to this place to spend your parents‘ death anniversary.” 

Alpha Leo caressed my lips with his thumb. “If you keep on smiling like this, my d*** might end up doing what it shouldn’t do before a tombstone.” 

Color disappeared from my face. How could he say such with a straight face? We were not standing before the tomb of anybody. We were before the tomb of his parents. The previous Alpha and Luna at that. I looked away from him to the tombstone. “Let’s just focus on what we came here for.” 

“Focus? When you’re around me? That is impossible.” Nevertheless, he turned back to look at the tombstone. He crouched before the tombstone and dropped his flowers. I did the same, taking the opportunity to read the inscription on the tombstone. 

It had his parents‘ names, Helia and Vlad Salvatore, a love that lasted a lifetime. 

My heart warmed at the sight. 

I dropped my flowers and looked at Alpha Leo. He held my hand and I subconsciously smiled softly at him. 

“Mother, Father, meet my Luna, Rita Lloyd. It feels good to have what you both had.” He gave my hand a small squeeze. “Things are a little rough now, but I believe everything will fall into place soon.” 

I smiled. 

This time, it was a conscious smile. It felt good to know that I was one of the few people who saw this soft side of Leo’s. 

He drove us back home and immediately we walked into the room, he pulled me closer to himself. His arms wrapped

around my waist. Without–protesting, I allowed myself to lean into his touch. 

“Do you still love him?” 

“No,” I answered, knowing who he was asking about. “I can never love Sebastian again. Maybe I used to, but everything disappeared when he rejected me and then I met…” My voice trailed. I felt nothing for the wolf before me. 

Right? 

Me wanting more whenever our skin brushed meant absolutely nothing. What about the way he took my breath away whenever those clear blue eyes of his met mine? It had to be nothing. 

“Until you met who?” 

I shifted my eyes away from him and tried to move away, but he pulled me back. 

“Help me unbutton my shirt,” He said and I turned pale. 

“What should I do?” 

“Unbutton my shirt and I’ll forgive you.” 

Without asking any question again, I reached out to the first button. This was not the best way to ‘keep my distance,‘ but goddess knew that I wanted to feel his bare chest on mine. 

I had undone the first and second button. My hands slipped through the opening and without thinking, my hands moyed about his chest. 

“Young she–wolf,” Alpha Leo called out in a low, deep and breathless voice. “You’re tempting me.” 

I liked the idea of tempting me, because he did the same thing to me too. 

I was consumed by the need to kiss him in every single part of his body. I looked up at his face and in one breathless moment, I kissed him on the lip. 

I moved away immediately, my eyes searching his. 

“Young she–wolf, is that all?” 

I blinked innocently. “Do you want more?” 

At that moment, I felt his erection against my tummy. 

His hand moved from my waist to my zipper and he pulled it down. 

The white gown I was wearing fell to my feet immediately and in split seconds I was on the bed with his body directly above mine and his shirt off.
