I saw Ivy walk into the room.
The same wolves that had stopped me from entering when I tried to do so let her in without stress and I just stood where I was, feeling like a fool.
After telling her how much Alpha Leo trusts me and how she was wrong about being able to walk into the room, she walked into the room without stress.
Without saying or doing anything, I went back to my room and climbed the bed.
“Your union with Alpha Leo is just a contract, you should not feel entitled one bit,” I kept on saying these words until I fell, without bothering about Ivy.
I figured she would leave after knocking at the door for a little while longer. Alpha Leo changed the lock of the door, but I felt she could get the new key from him anyways.
The next few days, I ignored Alpha Leo completely. I was polite and respectful to him, but distant. In a sense, I only had a short–term job with him, so I decided to keep our relationship cordial.
No hugging, kissing or making up inappropriate scenes in my head.
Today, I decided to visit Janice. I missed my friend and I definitely did not enjoy her ghosting me. Ivy was here to keep me company, but something just kept on being off about her.
Maybe I was a little bit uncomfortable, because she was Alpha Leo’s ‘ex‘ and she always talked about him anytime we met.
I looked at myself in the mirror, heaved a sigh of satisfaction and left for Janice’s house, but when I got there, there was no sign of life.
Her house was completely locked up. Since I had the keys to her house, I tried opening it only to realize that she had changed her lock.
There was no training today. Wolves who were at the training grounds now are those who just want to hang out and Janice was not that kind of person. I decided to check the training grounds anyway.
I brought my car to a halt when I got there.
I was away from this place for a while now, and coming back here felt a little weird. With all the scandals I have been through, I could not help but wonder how my colleagues will react when they see me.
I took in a deep breath, got out of the car and made my way to the training grounds.
After checking the halls for Janice, I could not find her. Frustrated, I made my way back to the car. I met a few of my colleagues, some were excited to see me, the others just ignored me.
Then, I came across Taylor.
I frowned and when I saw Sebastian was with her, I just glared at the both of them and continued walking but Sebastian jumped in front of him and Taylor joined him. They interlinked their arms and I glared hard at them.
“What do you want?” I asked with a straight face. They glanced at each other and laughed.
“We just wanted to show you what a loving relationship looks like. From what I have heard, things are not very rosy between you and the Alpha,” Sebastian said and I frowned. Was he still stalking me? I wondered how much he knew about my relationship with the Alpha.

I looked at Taylor’s and Sebastian’s interlocked arms and laughed, “The both of you are not doing a great job at showing me what a good relationship should look like one bit.
“Move or I would call the Alpha and get him to deal with the both of you. At least, I can do that.” I raised my head and grinned in satisfaction when I saw the terror on their faces.
Taylor tried moving away, and she tried to drag Sebastian along with her, but he was not willing to move. He clenched his fists and glared at me instead.
“If you think you’ve escaped me, you should change the way you think,” He said, fuming. “When the time comes, I will deal with you and when I’m done with you, you definitely will not know what hit you.”
He stomped away and Taylor ran after him.
I knew Sebastian bluffed most times, but somehow I still felt the threats he just dished out to me were not empty ones.
I shrugged, went back to my car and drove back home.
When I got to the room, I met Alpha Leo. I wondered if he was back from work or if he was just here to pick something up.
“Finally,” he said out loud as soon as he saw me walk into the room. “Would you rest a little or should we start shopping now?”
“Shopping?” I was lost.
“Didn’t you read my message?”
Yes, right. I muted Alpha Leo’s contact on all social media platforms the day I saw Ivy walk into the same room that ‘only him could have access to.
I shook my head and he frowned. “Why don’t you read my messages? I know you’re trying hard to avoid me, but you can’t. You’re mine and-”
“For only less than six months,” I corrected and then added: “Plus, I can cancel our contract whenever I want to.”
He rolled his eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. “The big event we signed our contract for is in three days and I wanted us to shop for the event, because we would be staying away from the pack for like two weeks.”
“Two weeks? Is that how long the event will last.”
“No, that is how long I want us to stay away from the pack. The event will last for two days. We will have our honeymoon wherever you want us to during the rest of the two weeks.”
I laughed.
He had to be joking, right? Honeymoon? We weren’t even a real couple.
“What honeymoon? Our union is a fake one, remember? I’m definitely not going to go shopping or on my honeymoon. When it is time for the event, just tell me and I’ll do my part of the contract. After the event, I want to come back here and wait for the contract I have with you to expire. Then we go our separate ways.”
Alpha Leo just kept a poker face and when I was done talking, he shrugged. “We’ll see about that,” he said and then left the
room.
It made me wonder what he had in mind. He was definitely up to something. I just could not tell what it was.
Later that day, Ivy visited.
As usual, she kept on bugging me about how my relationship with the Alpha is and she talked about how her relationship
