Chapter 65
“How is my womb poisoned? Is it something 1 have been eating or is someone poisoning me on purposes
“We have to test you first.”
“How did you know at a glance and how did you know my aunt I never knew Aunt Freya had a relationship with the park’s healer. She was more modern and carefree compared to my man. Healing with herbs was the last thing I thought she would get involved in.
“Your Aunt is gifted. She sees things and notices tiny details. Like how the texture of your skin looks strange. It’s something a normal wolf will not pick up, but your Aunt picked it up. I was the one of the few person’s that could understand her, so she met me. Sadly, ignorance is bliss. Her knowledge drove her to where she is now”
“Why didn’t yours drive you mad?” I asked. “Blood that is what I want? I just want to know what Aunt Freya did wrong”

The healer laughed. “I’m nowhere near your aunt. She can tell a bad person from a good person easily. She’s not always a hundred percent accurate, but her accuracy is beyond normal. Aninety-nine percent accuracy. She can read intentions too
“That’s great,” I said. Little wonder she hated my father. She knew he would turn out to be a bad one. “All that greatness is locked up in an asylum.”
“It’s sad isn’t it.”
I nodded in agreement. “You’re a healer. Why don’t you heal her?
“Her healing comes with a price and her knowledge is that price. As long as your aunt knows too much, she would always be sick in the head. Plus, she knows what to do. If your aunt wanted to be healed, she would have, a long time ago.”
“So, you’re saying that she chose to be in there.”
She shrugged. “I would do the same if I were your aunt. She held out something that looked like a pregnancy strip before me, but there were no colored lines at all. “There are too many wicked ‘sane persons’ out here. You were poisoned on purpose. There’s matricide in your system.”
Was I surprised? No. I had enemies. Lots of them. In the past, I knew a few people that did not like me, but unlike now, none of them tried to kill me.
“If you were your aunt, you would have known you were being poisoned from the very first day. Why would anyone sacrifice that to be amongst people who think of ways to harm you?”
“How long have 1 been poisoned?”
“For months.”
Ivy.
“And when was the last time I was poisoned?”
“This morning.”
I turned pale. So, that meant Ivy still had people working for her even if she was in the dungeon. It was either that or I had another unknown enemy. Maybe the person doing this was Ivy’saccomplice.
Whatever it was, I had to find out. But first, I had to make sure I get healed and prevent future
soning
“Do you have an antidote? I have to not have a poisoned womb.”

Chapter 64
“You’re my closest brother and apparently the only brother I trust
My mind flickered back to when Leo told me about my poisoning being planned with someone else apart from Ivy. He mentioned Sebastian’s father, his fist brother.
“You’re half brothers?” I was curious to know what parent they dared. Was it the same father or the same mother?
“Yes, we are. My father was a big cheat so he slept with many other she wolves. It’s one of the reason I had always hated him. I can recall how much of pain he caused my mother. I tried convincing her to leave him and I vowed never go make my woman feel the same way my father made my mother feel. He changed though and that is the only reason I am still here. But before he quitted his infidelity, fortunately and unfortunately, one of his mistresses got pregnant and she gave birth to Luke and Tyler”
“Why am I just meeting your bothers or hearing about them?” I asked my mate, pouting and I turned to Luke. “And why am 1 seeing you for the first time?”
“The former Alpha, my father sent my brother away from his pack. According to him, we were a mistake so he does not want us anyway near his pack. He sent us out of his pack without money or food. We had to find ways to survive. Tyler became a Rouge and I found someone who was ready to take me in and give me a job.”
“I’m sorry you
had to pass through that. But, when I became Alpha, I sent you an invite for my coronation. I sent one to your brother too. I wanted the both of you to come back to the pack, Leo said and my heart warmed.
Luke smiled. “I know you have a good heart. I’m angry at father, not you.”
After exchanging pleasantries with Luke, I went to the room and after about thirty minutes, I left the room for the pack’s healer place. I had to confirm if what Aunt Freya was true or not
If she was true, I wondered who was responsible. Was it Ivy again? I let out a sigh of frustration. Apparently, Ivy was not my only enemy. I had many others. Tyler. Sebastian and the rest who I have never heard off or seen.
I finally got to the pack healer’s place and immediately she saw me, she shouted.
“You’re related to Freya, aren’t you? She must have sent you here. What more will make someone as highly ranked as you visit me?!
I raised an eyebrow. How did she know?
“You look a lot like her. The healer pointed to the floor opposite her. She was seated on the ground and that meant she wanted me to join her in sitting on the ground and I did.
“Your womb is poisoned,” She said immediately I sat and I froze
Aunt Freya was right.
