RITA’S POV 

I paced up and down the room, awaiting my mate’s return. I was far from okay with the court’s decision. I doubted if Sebastian’s innocence was true. I had a strong conviction that he had a role to play in my kidnap. 

Leo walked into the room and before he asked if anything was wrong, I walked over to him. “I don’t feel comfortable with the judgement. Sebastian had to be questioned. He was the one who kidnapped me. The Draco guy told me why I was kidnapped. They wanted to torture me and then sell me off. Your elder brother can be bitter, but I doubt he would do such a thing. He was only interested in becoming Alpha. Sebastian on the other is interested in becoming the Alpha and torturing

Leo cupped my cheeks. “Don’t worry. I’ll handle everything. I’m not letting Sebastian go easily. I’m monitoring him now and I’m waiting for him to strike again. Of course, he will try to cover up, but we will be two steps ahead of him. He is playing games. I have to lecture him on the to play these games well.” 

I heaved a sigh of relief. He hugged me. “So, what is your schedule like today. 

“I have two things in mind. One is to find Mr. Rio, the wolf who testified in my favor. Nobody knows where he is and I think it is Sebastian’s doing.” 

“Sebastian, again.” I could hear the disdain in his voice. “I can’t wait for the day we destroy him completely. For now, I’m thinking of brutal ways to teach him a lesson. As for Mr. Rio, I will organize a search party for him.”

“My former home. The answers to my questions about my mother’s death lies there. I don’t want to you. My father is there, but he won’t bat an eyelid if anybody tries to kill me.”

My mate and I finally arrived at my former house. We were at the door and I took in a deep breath before knocking at the door.

I was about to knock the third time and the door opened up. My father was the one at the door and immediately he saw us, he tried to close the door, but Leo held the door, stopping him.

Taylor was seated on the sofa and immediately she saw the Alpha and I, she stood to her feet and bowed her head in greeting. It was my first time seeing her this humble. 

My father on the other hand was still at the door. He looked displeased.
