I stopped listening, completely tuning his volce out and I watched Dez. He was literally so attractive. I shifted in my seat. His hair was a mess probably from me playing with it earlier. From this angle his high cheek bones and strong jawline were even more prominent. His muscles bulged out of his shirt and I could see the muscle lines of his biceps despite the tattoos painted on his thick tan arms. 

I played with one of my braids thoroughly checking him out for like 15 whole minutes. 

“Kendal if you continue looking at me like that I’m going to bend you over this desk and fuck you until you can’t speak” Dez threatened in my head, I shivered in response. I bit my lip dropping my eyes to the floor grinning broadly. Someone was getting bothered. Why was that my fault? I was simply admiring 

what’s mine. 

“Something you’d like to share Kendal?” Michael asked me, I looked up at him and then my eyes flicked to Dez who had now dropped his pen in interest and was looking at me almost threateningly. 

“No” I said innocently giving him a small smile, Michael resumed talking to Dez who had began to write again. Eventually he dropped his pen and I sat a little straighter hoping he was done and Michael had been talking forever they had to be almost done. I was almost bouncing from excitement. 

Finally Michael left and I practically ran to Dez and set myself in his lap snuggling up to him. He froze, 

“Kendal what are you doing?” 

“You said I had to be quiet you didn’t say I couldn’t sit here” I stated giving him a questionable look. He rolled his eyes but didn’t make me get up. I wrapped my arms around as best as I could while he did something I wasn’t paying attention to. Eventually he stood taking me with him and we left. I let him carry me home mostly because, I didn’t want to ask to be put down and I didn’t particularly want to be put down either. Dez set me down to get his key out of his pocket, I pulled him in for a kiss and he kissed. back with urgency unlocking the door behind me and walking me inside shutting it behind us. 

I woke up to a man’s voice, and not the man’s voice I expected nor wanted to hear. I expected Dez’s scent and his arms wrapped around me and sunshine and him to make me breakfast. What I was met with was my body aching and hurting, pain shooting from between my legs. 

And the face of my father. 

“Dad?” I questioned. 

“Kendal honey you’re awake” he said touching my face lightly, I offered him a small smile. 

“Where’s Dez?” I asked him looking around alarmed but trying to do so with as little movement as possible because my body hurt like hell. Every muscle seemed sore and stiff and some of my bones hurt.

“Where am I?” I asked looking around. I was in a simple bed but there was even a heart monitor next to my bed with a long wire that led to a little clippy thing around my finger, I frowned, my father followed my puzzlement. 

“Kendal honey you have to be more careful where you step…” he told me.
