Chapter 5
I didn’t know where to go.
My father appeared a few seconds later, he’s lips were pursed and he was looking at me with guarded
eyes.
“Is it true?” he asked me, I just stared at him trying not to cry. I bit my lip until I tasted blood looking up at
him.
“Dad-”
“Is it?” he yelled I flinched and looked at the floor.
“Do you realize the situation you’ve put your mother and I in? You’ve ruined our family, and your sister’s life” he said hardly. That’s all he cared about, the family name. That’s all he ever cared about.
“And asking me questions. Was that for him too?–”
“Dad, no-”
“Betraying your own pack, I never thought any daughter of mine would become a traitor!” he said as my mom rubbed his back soothingly.
“Dad-”
“Stay here” he said gruffly going back downstairs, I squeezed my eyes shut trying to block out the conversation him and mother were having downstairs about what to do with me. I stared at the window, hearing a lot of commotion downstairs, I opened the window and looked down. I didn’t think about it before the sensual feeling of following hit me. I hit the ground and the breath was knocked out of me, I got up and started running pulling my clothes off as I went, I put them in my mouth and let the shift take over my body.
My skin burned and my bones hurt as they popped into place, I took a second to shake my fur out before I took off for the territory line. I knew the nearest one was the eastern border and it was about 9 miles from here, I hoped I could make that before my father warned the guards to look out for me.
He would want me brought back that way he could use me as a weapon against Dez. I know my parents sound cruel, but the minute I let Dez mark me anything they could do went out the window. I was on my own now. I didn’t know why I felt the need to compensate for what they did, and have done.
I had no one.
‘You have our mate‘ my wolf reminded me.

Chapter 5
She was right, he was the only person in the world I truly had. But I didn’t know if he wanted me back. I got over my territory line and ran for a few more hours before stopping and changing into some ripped jeans and my hoodie, it was the only thing I brought with me. I stepped into my combat boots and just started walking shoving my hands in my hoodie pocket.
I inhaled the smell of the woods, the birds chirped loudly and there was the occasional rustle of an
animal.
A hand went over my mouth and I let out a small scream of surprise, I was pulled into a muscular body, the person grabbed my bicep and started dragging me.
I slammed my elbow into their spleen reaching behind me and grabbing any part of them I could find and pulling them over my shoulder slamming them down in front of me. I knew immediately by the smell it was a rogue. I kicked him right in the nose head on making his nose break.
Another one appeared and threw himself at me I kicked him head on in the chest and another one came at my side. I curled my fist decking him in the face and then I did it again as he bent over.
