Rejecting cheating husband my alpha awakening novel Chapter 2

Chapter

The next morning, I got up early, just like always, to make breakfast for Silan and our daughter

My daughter frowned at the bowl of wolfberries and oat mash in front of her, letting out a dissatisfied whine

Why are we eating this again? I want a ham and marrow sandwich!”

I patiently explained, Sandwiches aren’t healthy. Eating this is good for your strength as a young wolf.”

She pouted and yelled at me in frustration. You’re so oldfashioned! Aunt Flora says I can eat whatever

want!”

I want Aunt Flora to come live here and be my mom. I don’t want you to be my mom!”

My hand froze midmotion, the wooden serving spoon marked with the Bloodmoon Pack’s insignia trembling in my grasp

It felt like my wolf whimpered in agony in my mind

This precious pup, whom I had conceived through grueling herbal treatments and mystical rituals, had just said something so cruel

Silan quickly glared at her before taking the spoon from my hands with a forced smile

Don’t take what she says to heart. Pups say the darndest things when they’re young. Flora’s just my

assistant. Come, sit downI’ll serve you.”

I didn’t call him out. With trembling hands, I sat down and quietly ate the venison stew as if nothing had

happened

After they left for the day, the pack’s communication crystal buzzed with a message

I’m glad you’ve made up your mind. I’ll take care of everything on my end. You can assume your new

rank next month.”

I replied with a single word: Okay.”

My parents had never approved of my bond with Silan. Back then, I had fought them tooth and claw to

be with him

A few years was all it took for me to see him for who he truly was and come back to reality

Chapter

Do me a favor. I want them to have no chance to recover.”

A sharp pain suddenly twisted in my lower abdomenperhaps the wolfsbane specific drug was starting

to take effect

The pain was unbearable, and in desperation, I called Silan

But a woman answered the call. Her voice was sugary sweet, laced with deliberate provocation

Silan’s busy right now. What do you need from him?”

If it’s nothing important, don’t call again. He’s got no time to waste on someone like you.”

I said nothing, quietly ended the call, and sent a mental howl to the healer instead
