Chapter 82
“What was it about?” he asked me.
“I don’t know” I answered trying to think hard, I didn’t remember any dream at all bad or not.
“Probably about the guy who killed Atticus” I whispered.
“Kendal” his voice was a low rumble that vibrated through my chest.
“You don’t have to worry about him anymore” he said his voice serious.
“Did you kill him?” I asked, knowing I was right. Another person had died just because of me.
“I’m only going to say this once, you don’t have to worry about him anymore Kendal” he said his voice
had taken a firm tone, he didn’t answer my question. I could see it in his eyes that he would’ve answered
yes.
“You shouldn’t kill people just because they’ve touched me” his nostrils flared and he stared at me anger in his eyes.
“He took you, he didn’t just touch you Kendal” Dez reminded his voice hard.
“But you kill people who just touch me too” I answered.
“You’re mine. No one should touch what’s mine.” Dez stated stubbornly he sounded like a child fighting
over a toy.
“So you kill people just because they touch what’s yours?” I said my voice sounded disgusted, he closed his eyes for a minute before reopening them, he looked like he was collecting himself.
“Yes, because only I’m supposed to touch you” he said stubbornly. I rolled my eyes. Of course he was over
protective.
“Dez some of them never even hurt me” I argued. He stared at me for a long minute.
“You belong to me, no one else should even look at you”
“Why? They don’t hurt me,” I said getting frustrated.
“I’m not arguing with you. Who touches you is entirely up to me since you belong to me.” His voice was hard and annoyed.
“I’m not a possession Dezmond, I have opinions, and if something involves me, then I should get a say”

Chapter 82
“Maybe” he replied simply. “But you don’t.” he added, I glared at him and grit my teeth. Why was it so hard to talk to him, he just felt like what he says goes no matter what anyone said, I couldn’t get through to him.
“Yes I do, I’m a person Dezmond I’m in charge of myself, not you.” He raised an eyebrow and I could see in his eyes that statement had gotten to him. I was challenging his dominance and I knew it pissed him off no matter how hard he tried to mask it. A little part of me was satisfied that I had angered him, even though I knew I shouldn’t be.
“Kendal, I am your mate and your alpha and what I say goes. Period. End of discussion.” He said his voice held so much authority and intimidation it took me a minute to realize what he just said and that he had just used his alpha voice on me. Now I was even angrier if that was possible. We were equals, I was his mate he shouldn’t be using that tone with me.
