Jordy’s attitude seemed to get colder. “When are you going to forgo your ego?”

Gloria sensed anger in his voice and looked at him in surprise. “Did anything go wrong?”

Jordy frowned in an instant.

George changed color as Jordy had read his mind. He just would not admit it. Instead, he justified himself, “That’s what Gloria wanted, alright? She made it clear that we should keep the matter from Nydia. She didn’t want Nydia to worry.”

Jordy sneered, “You think I’ll believe that?”

“Believe it or not, this is the truth. Now that Nydia went over, Gloria would hate you even more. You no longer have a chance to tell her that you like her. Keep it to yourself and take it to your grave.”

Jordy gave him a cold look. “As I said, I’m not interested in her.”
