Hearing Sophie’s words, Angelo panicked and bolted upstairs, yelling, "Sandy! You little troublemaker! If you dare make that call, you're finished!"

Watching the commotion, Sophie finally set down her knife and fork. She had been worried that Kiran was just pretending, but now she was sure the person in front of her wasn’t Kiran. Angelo, with his goofy demeanor, seemed easy to deceive and wasn’t the type to hatch any sinister plots. That was a relief.

*Ding Ding*

A notification chimed on her phone. Sophie glanced down and opened the text, which was an invitation to meet at the airport in an hour. Despite the briefness, she recognized it was from Elodie.

Upstairs, Odie stormed out, clearly agitated, and shouted down at Sophie, "Sophie! Can’t you control your people? Stop shouting in my house!"

Sophie looked up to see Odie’s tired expression. He had likely spent the entire day sorting through Summerfield Corporation’s business information. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Odie. I promise it won't happen again."

No sooner had she spoken than Angelo started yelling at Sandy again, "You little troublemaker! I'll smash your phone!"
