Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1102

"Is it even fixable?"

Odie reached out and tapped Sophie's head, gritting his teeth, "Sophie, do you have to create chaos for me every single day to feel alive?"

"Calm down... calm down..."

Sophie hadn't expected that a broken-down car would get Odie so riled up.

"Who did this? Did you see anyone?"

"I didn't see anyone."

"So, you didn't see, but you know the car was tampered with?"

"I'm just being cautious, but... I did catch a glimpse of a shadowy figure darting past behind me just now. Looked like a man, but I couldn't make out his face."

Saying so, Sophie pointed at the streetlight behind them, where the man had vanished.

Odie turned to Jonah, who had just gotten out of the car, "Check the surveillance around here. Have our people surround the area and screen for suspects."

"Got it, boss."

Odie glanced at the two thugs behind Sophie and barked, "What's the point of bringing these guys if they can't catch a single person when it matters? Useless!"

"Mr. Odie, it was already quite a feat for me to notice the car was tampered with. Your two guys didn't even spot the problem. So, who's the real failure here, me or your men?"

Hearing Sophie's words, the two thugs behind her felt very wronged.

Why were they being dragged into this mess?

"Enough, get in the car. We’ll discuss this at home."

At that moment, dozens of people quickly disembarked from the two vans Odie had brought, their presence seeming to lock down the street.

"Call a tow service to take the car, and inform me immediately if there's any news."

"Yes!"
