As Sophie remained silent, Reece made no move to let Nichole stand up.
Beside them, Ricardo spoke up, “Rowena acted out against Ms. Sophie because of past incidents. I had spoken to her last night, and she’s moved on from the past.”
With that, Ricardo looked towards Nichole, saying, “Rowena, didn’t you say last night that you wanted to apologize to Ms. Sophie?”
Nichole nodded repeatedly, looking truly penitent. She stepped forward and bowed deeply to Sophie, saying, “Sophie, I was jealous because I liked Mr. Burke, and I did many things I regret. I’m here to apologize. Please forgive me.”
Studying Nichole’s now innocent and remorseful face, Sophie frowned slightly.
Nichole seemed to have genuinely changed.
However, for Sophie, Nichole’s transformation could only have two explanations.
The first was that Nichole truly regretted her actions and found true love in Ricardo.
The second was that Nichole was biding her time, showing weakness now to strike back later.
If it weren’t for a recent dream, Sophie might have believed the former was true. But that dream made her wary of trusting Nichole’s change too easily.
“Last time, you slapped me twice, Ms. Nichole. A simple apology can’t just wipe the slate clean.”
Sophie’s message couldn’t be clearer.
Nichole bit her lip and said, “If you want to hit me back, I won’t complain.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
