Chapter 44 Splash Him 

Enough was enough. I couldn’t take it anymore. I grabbed the wine glass and splashed the wine right on Jeremiah’s face. 

He froze on the spot as the red liquid dripped down his features, ruining his expensive suit in the process. 

I stood up angrily. “What the hell is wrong with you? How many times do I have to say it? I want a divorce. I don’t want you anymore! Jeremiah, where did you get the confidence to think I can’t live without you? You’re the most pathetic man I’ve ever ine 

“Hurry up and sign the divorce papers! Stop wasting my time!” 

Finally snapping out of his stupor, he wiped the wine off his face with a darkened expression, “I’ll say it one more time we’re not getting a divorce!” “Fine! I’ve got plenty of ways to make it happens!” I tossed the glass onto the table and stormed out without looking back. 

When I got home, my mood was still sour. Stepping out of the car with a cold expression, I spotted Eric casually watering the flowers in the yard, looking  as relaxed as ever. 

He noticed me too. He set down the watering can and walked over. “What happened? Did something go wrong?” 

Suppressing my anger, I tried to stay calm. “Nothing much, Jeremiah’s just dragging his feet and refusing to agree to the divorce.” 

Hearing this, Eric was silent for a moment before asking, “What’s your plan now?” 

I looked him straight in the eye and said with determination, “I’m filing for a divorce.” 

At this point, the marriage was beyond repair. Filing a lawsuit was the only way to end it for good. 

Hearing my decision, Eric’s lips curled into a slight smile. “In that case, let me recommend a lawyer. Flint Group’s legal team has never lost a case.” Everyone knew how capable Flint Group’s lawyers were. With their help, this whole process would definitely go smoother. 

Given how much I already owed him, one more favor wouldn’t make a difference. With that thought, the weight on my shoulders felt a little lighter. I nodded. “Alright. Thank you.”
