Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 115

Alicia stood rooted to the spot for a long moment before finally taking a deep breath and joining Tyrone in the queue.

So even a billionaire CEO still has to line up like everyone else, she thought, almost amused.

A few paces away, Nicole joined the end of the line with barely concealed resentment, her envy practically radiating from her eyes.

If only she had come to the Lynch family sooner, she mused, then she would be the one marrying Tyrone. Half this street would be hers by now!

They were in the old district of Harboridge City. The buildings looked worn and outdated, but the rent was steep—after all, this was still one of the city's most bustling commercial areas.

Almost every storefront along this stretch of road belonged to the Lynch family. Tyrone's grandfather had bought up the properties when he was young, and now, even if the Lynch family lost everything, they'd never go hungry; the rental income alone brought in millions every year.

Nicole couldn't help but straighten her spine at the thought—one day, all this would be hers. "Tyrone, this whole block belongs to your family. Why are we waiting in line? Can't we just go up and ask the owner to serve us?"

Tyrone gave her a cool glance and nodded toward the bank across the street. "See that bank? It's full of cash. Why don't you just walk in and help yourself?"

Nicole flushed bright red, stung by the retort.

Alicia bit her lip, struggling not to laugh. Suppressing a smile was harder than she'd expected.

Eventually, they reached the front of the line. Tyrone went up to order shaved ice, while Alicia and Nicole waited off to the side.

Nicole leaned in, eyes glinting with challenge. "Don't get too comfortable, Alicia. I heard the only reason Tyrone married you was because I hadn't come back yet. Now that I'm here, it's just a matter of time before you have to step aside."

Alicia ignored her. She knew better than to rise to the bait with someone like Nicole.

"I'm going to school in Seaview City too, you know," Nicole went on, unable to hide her smugness. "Grandpa said I should live at Tyrone's house when I get back. The only reason Maddox hasn't gotten rid of you already is because you're lucky enough to be carrying the Lynch family's child. He won't let his baby be born out of wedlock. But as soon as you give birth, you'll be out the door."

Alicia lowered her gaze to her stomach. Surely she couldn't be pregnant that quickly, could she?
