The blood on Alicia's forehead had almost dried by now, but she was positively buzzing with excitement as she and Melanie browsed through the mountain of luxury gifts Jade had just paid for.

"This one—this one is crazy expensive. Everyone in my class wants it. That awful girl who tried to steal my boyfriend has one, too. She wears it every day like she owns the place."

Alicia glanced at Melanie, then pressed the bracelet into her hand. "Here, this one's yours."

The two of them were dividing up the loot like mischievous partners in crime.

Melanie wrinkled her nose and shook her head. "If that witch has it, I don't want to be caught wearing the same thing as her."

"Okay, then this—this one's even pricier." Alicia handed over a bracelet that sparkled even more.

Melanie's eyes lit up, and the way she looked at Alicia shifted from initial skepticism to genuine admiration.

"You're honestly amazing," Melanie breathed. "If I were half as brave as you… Hey, doesn't your head hurt? Are you sure you don't need a doctor?" She sounded genuinely worried now.

By the time Tyrone arrived, rushing in with a storm of anxiety, Jade had already disappeared with Nicole.

"Alicia!" Tyrone grabbed her shoulders, eyes fixed on her injury. "What happened? We need to get you checked out."

Alicia beamed at him. "I'm fine, really. Look at all this—it's all ours! Jade paid for everything. Six million dollars' worth."

Tyrone's expression darkened. "Jade caused you trouble again?"

Alicia hesitated, unsure if she should tell him. After all, this involved his grandfather.

"Jade… called me and told me to invite Alicia out shopping," Melanie piped up quickly when she realized Alicia was holding back. "I'm sorry, Uncle Tyrone. I didn't know she'd show up with a whole group, or that she'd try to drag Alicia off to the hospital for some pregnancy test. She said Maddox told her to do it."

Tyrone's frown deepened as he looked at Melanie. "We'll talk about your part in this later."

He scooped Alicia up, ready to carry her straight to the hospital. After a few steps, he turned back and shot Melanie a warning. "Call me Uncle Tyrone."
