"Me? Apologize to her?" Nicole let out a sharp laugh.

Alicia stepped forward and slapped Nicole hard across the face.

"Fine. If you won't apologize, I'll do it for Wilma."

Nicole stared at Alicia in shock, clutching her cheek. Fury overtook her and she lunged to strike back, but Wilma stepped in, wrapping her arms around Nicole to restrain her.

Alicia seized the moment and delivered another slap, this one landing on Nicole's other cheek while she was unable to defend herself.

Nicole was livid. "Alicia, have you lost your mind? You dare lay a hand on me? I'm calling Maddox!"

She glared at Wilma next. "And you—just wait. I'll have Maddox fire you!"

Wilma looked worried but stood protectively in front of Alicia, refusing to move.

Nicole tried to push past her, raising her hand to strike Alicia again, but Wilma held her off.

Fuming, Nicole stomped to the doorway. "You'll both regret this."

She stormed out of the room, phone already pressed to her ear as she started dialing for backup.

"You all seem to forget—I'm carrying Tyrone's child. That means I'm carrying the Lynch family legacy. When it comes to Maddox, the Lynch bloodline will always matter more than you. If you so much as lay a finger on me, and anything happens to this baby, let's see whose side Maddox takes then!" Alicia's voice was cold, her brow furrowed in warning.

Nicole sneered. "Please. Still keeping up that act? You're not fooling me. You don't even dare get checked at the hospital."

Alicia's eyes narrowed. "What if I really am pregnant? Are you willing to take that risk?"

Nicole hesitated, her bravado faltering. She knew Maddox valued the Lynch family bloodline above all else.

That was why Jade had advised her to get pregnant by Tyrone as soon as possible—so she could secure her own position.

Grinding her teeth, Nicole huffed and turned toward the staircase, her voice tight with frustration. "Pregnant or not, I'm sleeping in the master bedroom tonight. End of discussion."
