Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 150

Tyrone arched a brow and stepped in front of Alicia, shielding her. "My wife won't be accepting gifts from Mr. Lawson."

Every reporter in the room perked up, sensing the whiff of a scandal.

What was Vincent up to? Wasn't he about to marry Mina? Why was he here, offering flowers to Alicia?

Backstage, Mina's face shifted from shock to fury the moment she spotted Vincent. Her hands clenched so tightly she nearly drew blood.

Didn't Vincent say he was too busy on Monday? Too busy to sign the marriage papers, but not too busy to attend Alicia's graduation? It was obvious who he'd really come for.

Chloe stared at Mina, wide-eyed. "Sis, why is your fiancé—"

"Shut up!" Mina hissed, jaw tight.

Out in the audience, Vincent's expression soured. He hadn't expected Tyrone to show up. He'd counted on Jade persuading Serena to keep Tyrone away.

Jaw clenched, Vincent forced himself to speak calmly. "Alicia, I promised I'd come to your graduation."

Alicia let out a sharp, derisive laugh.

That was a lie. He never made such a promise.

"I just wanted to surprise you," Vincent tried again.

"Please," Tyrone cut in, deadpan. "Showing up at another man's wife's graduation isn't a surprise. It's a horror show." He wrapped an arm around Alicia and led her away.

Vincent stood rooted to the spot, frustration burning inside him. He refused to believe Tyrone could keep this up for long.

Sooner or later, Tyrone would divorce her for Serena, wouldn't he?

As Tyrone guided Alicia past Vincent, Vincent lowered his voice. "Tyrone." He stared at him, voice tense. "Don't think I don't see what you're doing—putting Alicia in front of the cameras to shield your real lover. Tyrone, that's despicable."

Tyrone glanced at Alicia, then back at Vincent. "Wait for me in the car," he murmured.

Alicia was in no mood for Vincent's drama. She nodded and walked off without a word.

Vincent's anger simmered over. "You don't understand Alicia. She's gentle, but she has pride. Throwing money at her is an insult—she's not that kind of woman!"

He'd always withheld money from Alicia, thinking she'd hate to feel like a kept woman.
