Alicia felt her eyes sting with heat.

Tyrone chuckled. “You’re so practical.”

Alicia grinned and admired the ring on her hand for a long time.

Just think of it as part of the act, she told herself. Even if she knew she’d have to wake up from this dream someday, at least, for now, she could pretend.

Her chest tightened. She snuck a glance at Tyrone. “When we get divorced… can I keep the ring? I mean, it’s not like—”

Tyrone looked at her, amused. “Already planning for the divorce? Do you really dislike me that much?”
