Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 176

Albertine startled. “Miss, our orphanage isn’t in Seaview City—it’s in the town of Mountaincrest.”

Yvonne’s expression barely flickered as she took her seat. Years of searching in Seaview City had led to nothing. Was it possible that the culprit had abandoned the child on the outskirts instead?

“Aunt Yvonne, are you really going to defend her? She’s just a liar,” Nicole ventured, her tone cautious.

She was clearly afraid of Yvonne.

Yvonne just smiled at her, unbothered. “What can I do? Her husband asked me to keep an eye out for her, worried that your grandfather might do something rash. If you scare the poor girl half to death here, Tyrone would be beside himself with worry.”

Nicole’s face paled. “Aunt Yvonne, I’m Tyrone’s fiancée.”

“But you’re not married yet, are you? Fiancée, fiancée—she’s the one with the marriage certificate. She’s the legal wife,” Yvonne teased, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Nicole’s complexion went from red to white in an instant.

Alicia, sitting nearby, was surprised as well. He actually liked Yvonne’s boldness—she reminded him a bit of Tyrone, sharp-tongued and unafraid of confrontation.

“Trying to pull a fast one on the Lynch family? Even with you here, she can’t escape the consequences!” The old patriarch let out a furious huff. Nothing angered him more than being lied to, especially about matters as important as heirs and marriages. He despised social climbers most of all.

“This is what gets you worked up? Why not go demand answers from your own grandson instead? You really think this young woman could invent such a huge lie and actually fool Tyrone? At your age, you should know better than to play dumb,” Yvonne shot back, refusing to give the old man any quarter.

His face went white with rage, and he jabbed a finger at her. “This has nothing to do with you. Leave. Now.”
