Tyrone stood there, stunned for a long moment, drawing a deep breath as he stared at Alicia.
Had he heard her right just now?
Seeing the shock on his face, Alicia lowered her head, looking a little anxious.
Was it not sincere enough when she called him that?
“Dad…” Alicia tried again, but before she could finish, Tyrone quickly covered her mouth.
Tyrone took another steadying breath.
Was this little minx doing it on purpose? Was she hinting that he was old?
He wasn’t even that much older than Alicia.
She was twenty-three, he was twenty-nine.
Just six years apart… that was all.
Felix kept his eyes on the road, the awkwardness almost choking him as he cleared his throat. He stayed silent the whole ride, not daring to say a word.
Finally, after dropping these two off, he sped away as if fleeing for his life.
Tyrone took Alicia gently by the wrist and led her into the living room.
Vincent had once said Alicia was a proud girl. Had he hurt her pride by giving her that money?
“If there’s… anything bothering you, just tell me.” Tyrone looked at her, trying to read her expression.
Alicia looked completely innocent. She honestly wasn’t upset, not at all.
“Was it… Grandpa? Did he upset you?” Tyrone asked again.
Alicia shook her head. “It’s understandable if your grandfather has his doubts about me. After all, with your family background, there must be a lot of women eager to get close to you.”
Tyrone sat down on the couch, pulling Alicia with him until she landed on his lap.
Alicia’s cheeks flushed. Wasn’t this a bit too intimate…?
But if her sugar daddy was willing, she’d let him hold her as much as he wanted.
