Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 206

Nicole’s hands trembled as anxiety washed over her. After all, she wasn’t the real heiress—Jade’s warning to keep a low profile echoed in her mind now, louder than ever.

“The White family’s heiress? If this is the sort of upbringing they provide, it’s a disgrace,” Lillian said sharply, her icy gaze fixed on Nicole. “If it weren’t for Reginald, you wouldn’t have even received an invitation. Now, will you leave on your own, or shall I have someone escort you out?”

“Auntie…” Nicole’s voice wavered as she turned pleadingly to Yvonne, hoping desperately for support.

But Yvonne only sighed, shaking her head. “Nicole, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but your words couldn’t have been more ill-timed. There’s nothing I can do. Honestly, I might get dragged into this myself. After today… I’m not sure we can even stay friends.”

The icy threat in Yvonne’s words drained the color from Nicole’s face.

“Just go home for now,” Yvonne said quietly, steering Nicole toward the exit.

Jade had sent Nicole here tonight hoping she’d network with the city’s elite young women, laying groundwork for the future. If Nicole was thrown out before the party even began, she’d be the laughingstock of the entire social circle—how could she ever show her face again?

“Tyrone…” Nicole stammered, turning to him in desperation.

But Tyrone stood beside Alicia, who clung innocently to his arm, watching Nicole with wide, untroubled eyes. Tyrone didn’t spare Nicole a glance.

“Tyrone, say something for Nicole! You two are still engaged…” Mina blurted out, looking nervously between Tyrone and Lillian.

Tyrone’s voice was flat. “Miss Holloway, who was it that loudly announced at the entrance that you two were best friends?” He fixed Mina with a cool stare. “Why don’t you help her out, then? As for the engagement—it’s void. I’m already married.”

Mina bit her lip, hands clenched, not daring to test Lillian’s patience further. After all, being the daughter of the Chamber of Commerce president meant Lillian’s word carried weight in the city’s business circles.

“Mina…” Nicole choked out, on the verge of tears.

Mina could only whisper, “Nicole, just go home.”

Nicole’s face was chalk white now. With no one willing to help, she shot Alicia a venomous glare. “Just you wait,” she hissed, before turning on her heel and storming out.
