Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 216

“But… this man’s been officially diagnosed with severe schizophrenia. That’s why he was committed to a psychiatric hospital. Getting access to him, let alone getting a straight answer, will be tough. And… well, you know, the law doesn’t really hold the mentally ill criminally responsible…” Sean Quinn glanced at Yvonne, worried she might lose control.

But to his surprise, Yvonne was calmer than he’d ever seen her.

She let go of Sean’s sleeve and sat down, her voice clear and steady as she worked through the problem. “We’ve already found Alicia. At the very least, I’ve fulfilled my promise to my sister. As for whether that man’s truly insane, that’s still up for debate. Even if he is, we’ll have to find a way to make him talk.”

Sean couldn’t hide his amazement. Yvonne was so much more rational than before.

For years, she’d been obsessed—nearly possessed—by the hunt for the real Nicole, always on the edge of a breakdown.

Maybe now, having finally found her, and knowing Alicia was safe and well cared for…

“Alicia’s with Tyrone now. He should be able to keep her safe,” Yvonne murmured, though unease lingered in her eyes. “Do you think Tyrone would ever hurt her? Is she really willing to have this baby? What if he forced her?”

Sean blinked, caught off guard by the leap in logic.

“We can’t just let Tyrone marry my niece so easily. The man’s gotten way too lucky—just like that, he’s marrying a college girl, and she’s my niece!” Yvonne was starting to get riled up again.

Sean gave a short cough, trying not to laugh. “True enough. Maybe we should break them up, get them divorced before he gets too comfortable?”

Yvonne shot him a glare. “Typical man. No mercy at all.”

Sean wisely fell silent.

Harboridge City.

Jade had already heard about Nicole’s disastrous scene at the Ryan family’s banquet. She berated Nicole over the phone until Nicole was left speechless. “There’s no way I can leave Harboridge City right now, and Nicole—she’s such a hopeless idiot…”

Jade hung up, seething, and turned to her father, Brandon. “Dad, that fool is bound to slip up sooner or later. We have to move fast—get Grandpa to write the will and call the family home for the inheritance dinner.”
