Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 254

“Is following me around all you’re good at? Don’t you have any other talents? And why are you so afraid of Tyrone?” Nicole snapped, her irritation clear in her voice.

Clayton sat off to the side, glancing at Nicole with a look that betrayed neither annoyance nor amusement. It was as if he spoke deliberately. “He’s the heir to the Lynch Corporation, Maddox’s only grandson.”

“Not anymore,” Nicole huffed, crossing her arms. “Jade told me—the White family did the Lynches a great favor, so whoever I marry becomes the sole heir of the Lynch estate. It used to be that Maddox only had Tyrone to choose from, but now… word is, they found another heir this year. He’s nineteen, just about my age.”

She gave a proud little snort, chin tilted defiantly.

If Tyrone didn’t know what was good for him, she’d just marry Easton instead. Then Tyrone would come begging her for forgiveness.

“If that’s what you think, Miss,” Clayton replied, his tone layered with meaning but offering no argument.

Tyrone hated being pestered, and Clayton feared that Nicole’s antics might finally push him too far. If Tyrone decided he’d had enough, things could get messy—and Clayton would be caught in the middle.

After all, he and Tyrone had a verbal agreement: until the real Nicole was found, Clayton would keep this one occupied for a few days. But Tyrone’s moods were unpredictable. If Nicole went too far…

Better she set her sights on someone else than keep provoking Tyrone. “Maybe if Easton agrees to marry you, Tyrone will feel a little more threatened,” Clayton suggested.

Nicole’s eyes lit up as she fixed him with a triumphant look. “Finally, you’ve said something useful. I’ll give you three days—get me Easton’s number. Or, when we’re back in Seaview City, I want to see him.”

Clayton forced a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. He felt like little more than a genie at her beck and call.

“Once Easton agrees to marry me, Tyrone will have to dump Alicia and come crawling back,” Nicole said, settling smugly into her seat and slipping on her sunglasses. “Oh, and that limited-edition bag I told you about—I want it. Buy it for me.”

Clayton said nothing; Nicole’s greed was practically etched on her face.
