The next day, Alicia arrived for class with Winnie, only to be blocked at the door by Nicole.

It was obvious Nicole was picking a fight on purpose.

Alicia thought Nicole was seriously unhinged—maybe even beyond help.

“Did you sneak off to see Clayton behind my back? You homewrecker!” Nicole jabbed a finger at Alicia’s face, her voice carrying through the entire lecture hall. “First you tried to seduce Tyrone, and now you’re after Clayton? Well, let me tell you—Clayton is nothing but a dog the White family keeps around, loyal only to me. Try anything with him, and you’ll regret it!”

Alicia didn’t even blink, but Winnie rolled her eyes and stepped up, shoving Nicole aside. “Thanks for the compliment—homewreckers are supposed to be gorgeous, right? But Nicole, if we’re the homewreckers, then you must be the rabid dog in this story.”

Nicole glared at Winnie. “You better stop riding her coattails, Winnie! Just wait and see—when Tyrone loses everything, you two will be nothing.”

Alicia calmly pulled out her phone and sent a voice message to Clayton, forwarding exactly what Nicole had just said about him being the White family’s loyal dog. “I’ve passed your message along to Clayton,” she said, her voice icy.

Nicole froze for a moment, then tossed her hair, sneering. “So what if you tattle? Clayton belongs to our family. He won’t listen to you! If I tell him to jump, he asks how high.”

She seemed utterly convinced that Clayton was nothing but a lapdog, loyal to the Whites without question. She and Jade bullied him constantly, treating him like a thorn in their side.

Clayton didn’t reply to Alicia’s message. He was probably angry.

Nicole gave a cold laugh. “See? He’s ignoring you. I call him names every day and he still comes running when I snap my fingers.”

Alicia shook her head, her voice cool and even. “You’re awfully confident. I hope you stay the White family’s golden girl forever.” She started walking into the classroom with Winnie.
