“I’ll let you have her!” Nadia pointed to Maren, who was visible across the hall.

Higgs was surprised. He hadn’t anticipated her presence here.

Just last night, Nadia had been scouring an online forum in Voutsas, seeking someone more influential than Lucien. Higgs, amused, had responded to her online.

Soon after, Nadia had pleaded for his assistance with a certain woman.

Initially indifferent, Higgs’s interest had been piqued by Nadia’s allure after seeing her photos in her album.
