"It seems like we have underestimated Nathan's capability." Peyton frowned in return.
Suddenly, he received a call from Cicero, the king of Eagleland and the supreme leader of the Omniscience.
He asked cold-heartedly, "Mr. Black, I have ordered you to kill Nathan to avenge William, my son. May I know how it is going?"
Peyton felt embarrassed. Nevertheless, he replied, "We have been defeated by him because we had underestimated Nathan's capability. He has gotten the better of us this once. Don't worry, sir. I will re-evaluate and reflect on the mistakes we have made.
Please wait for the great news from us because we are certain that we will definitely get him soon.”
However, Cicero told Peyton, "My son has already recovered. He told me that he wished to get his revenge himself. William has already boarded a flight to your nation. As we speak, he's on his way over, to your place. Hopefully, you'll treat my son with care, Mr. Black. Please work with him and ensure that he gets his revenge.”
"William will be here to get his revenge from Nathan? That's great! We will definitely give William our cooperation and aid, wherever it is needed," Peyton exclaimed in surprise.
"Perfect!" Cicero was pleased as well.
Meanwhile, things had finally returned to how they used to be in Channing.
Penny did not return home for lunch. Instead, she spent her lunchtime in her office because she had plenty of things on her plate.
Therefore, Nathan returned home and packed a few of her favorite dishes with him before making his way back to Penny's office.
Evidently, Penny was overjoyed the moment her husband showed up in the office. She expressed her gratitude as she savored the dishes her husband had brought her, "Thank you so much!"
"What's wrong? Why does it seem like you're exhausted? Have you run into any trouble at work?" Nathan looked at his haggard-looking wife and asked with a smile gently.
"I guess I can't keep anything from you, huh? We have run into a few problems lately." Penny sighed once she finished her sentence.
"What's wrong?" Nathan asked curiously.
At long last, Penny had decided to tell Nathan of what had happened, without withholding any information from him.
