At the Lindberg Residence.
A Lincoln Limousine and a few Mercedes-Benz slowly drove through the gate and arrived at the front porch.
The Lindberg family Matriarch alighted together with all the other prominent members of the Lindberg family.
Holding the crying Queenie, Hugh Lindberg led Peter and the others out to personally welcome the Matriarch, "Mom, you're back!"
When the Matriarch saw Hugh, Peter, and the others, she nodded and said, "I see you have just returned from your trip. This must be Angela's granddaughter and also Nathan's daughter, Queenie.
Hugh nodded. "That's right. The girl's name is Queenie Smith."
The Matriarch looked at Queenie, who was still crying.
The young girl was wearing a white dress. Although she was crying her heart out, it was difficult to hide her fair and exquisite features.
Anyone could see that she would grow up to be a gorgeous beauty.
Upon seeing her, the Matriarch exclaimed, "She looks just like your sister when she was little! However, she can no longer be known at a Smith. Her name from now on will be Queenie Lindberg."
Hugh added with a smile, "I have already sent her photo to the African warlord, Akin. He is very satisfied with the hostage we have proposed to send him. In fact, he has even requested that we expedite the process."
The Matriarch was puzzled. "Any member of the Lindberg family can qualify as a hostage. Why would that African warlord be particularly interested in Queenie?"
Hugh replied in a low voice, "Mom, do you know Akin is known as the Tyrant of Africa? He has many fetishes such as killing, cannibalism, and even pedophilia!" "My guess is that when he saw Queenie's exquisite features, he took a liking to her for her beauty. Therefore, he has been rushing us to send her over to him,” He added.
The Matriarch looked on at Queenie with a sense of pity as she frowned. She remarked, "If this child is sent to Africa, I'm afraid she will be miserable."
Hugh shrugged. "It's an inevitable choice as we work with Akin on too many projects, including oil fields, gold mines, and even diamond mines. Due to a lack of trust, we had to agree to their age-old tradition of exchanging hostages.”
