Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1160

Hayden's face was full of shock as he walked towards Jonathan. Perplexed, he asked, "Dad, why are the lot of you here?”

Slap!

Hayden's words were still reverberating across the room when his dad gave him a harsh slap right across his face. That action gave him a bruise on the edge of his lips.

He gaped in disbelief at his dad as he put a hand to his injured face, he whimpered, "Dad, you-"

Slap!

Jonathan had sent another loud slap across his son's face, almost knocking him out.

The people around them were all taken aback before they scampered ahead, intending to mediate the fight.

However, Jonathan bellowed in total exasperation, "All of you back off!”

Those who had just taken a few steps immediately halted.

Jonathan pointed an accusing finger at Hayden, who was still dumbstruck by his dad's painful slap, and yelled, "I can't believe I brought up the failure you have proven yourself to be! You're pissing me off big time!"

As Mayor Talmage was lecturing his son, the other city officials of Talmage were not just standing at one side.

They had lost all of the usual composure and elegance they had when dealing with official matters. Their rage was nuclear, and it exploded upon their children. Each of them located their child and pulled them aside before giving them a piece of their minds. They did not hold it back on their kids, and soon enough, all of the officials' children were also covered in bruises.

Everyone at the scene was losing it.

Hayden and the rest of the officials' children had all been beaten up by their parents.

What the hell is happening here?

At the same time as their confusion and puzzlement, they didn't forget to take a peek at Nathan and make guesses about his involvement in everything that had happened.

They were not that far off from the truth.

After discipling their children, the Mayor and the bunch of city officials had all come in front of Nathan Cross to greet him, "Please to meet you, President!” Anyone could sense the prickling uneasiness they had in their tones.

Please to meet you, President?

Everyone at the scene was stunned.

Hayden and the other officials' children were even more taken aback.
