West Creek, Ziegler mansion.
Todd Ziegler, Old Master of the Ziegler family, sat upright on his wooden armchair.
The whole family gathered in the living room except for Niel and Lucas.
They were all furious because they had just gotten news that Nathan had joined hands with the Lances and Artorias to kill Ingram Ziegler.
Todd's face was twisted with anger. "I believe everyone has learned that Ingram was murdered by none other than Nathan Cross, Max Arotira, and Pirk Lance. Does anyone has any suggestion on how we should respond?"
"Revenge! Blood for blood! We can't let them trample over us like this!"
"He's right! We should ask Lucas to come back to help us!"
"That's a good idea. Lucas the pride of our family! He's the General of the West, commander-in-chief of 300,000 strong army! Even the Artoria and Lance will have to beg us for mercy if Lucas helps us!"
Todd did not join the argument and waited for a few minutes before coughing to signal his family to stop.
After the room returned to its quiet state, Todd finally spoke. “I agree with taking our revenge, but if we hook Lucas in on this, then we're making a big fuss over a small issue. Even though the Artoria and Lance are families with thousands of years of history, they're still nobodies who live off their ancestors' success. What are they if they're not the descendants of the Yellow Emperor and the Flame Emperor?"
The Zieglers all nodded in agreement. "Master is right. The Artorias and Lances don't even hold much power in Brimmopolis. They are just famous because they have a long history. We would defeat them even if they team up."
"Also, Nathan Cross and Penny Smith. They are a family that just got wealthy recently. In other words, they are 'nouveau riche'. They are nothing when compared to us!"
"Still, the Artorias and Lances are of royal blood. They would still be troublesome to deal with. Why don't we make our move on Nathan first and make an example out of him? It'll be enough to scare the Artorias and Lances into make them beg us for forgiveness," Todd suggested.
"Master is right!"
