Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1220

The wind was strong, and the night sky was empty.

There was an obvious indication of rain. In the wake of this, the lone passers-by increased their footsteps, and the shops closed ahead of the scheduled time.

A funeral team suddenly appeared on Riverside Street. They were all wearing black clothes, playing a dirge, and spreading white papers as they headed to Riverside while carrying a coffin.

Ad interim, in Nathan Cross's house in Riverside.

Penny had just arranged a room for Frida since she would be staying with them.

The latter would become Penny's bodyguard from now on. Due to this job, it was more convenient for her to live with them. It would be easier to follow and protect the woman.

At first, Benson and Leah thought it was a bit troublesome for their daughter to have a bodyguard. But Penny was now a chairman cum president of a large group, unlike before.

They should always be on their guard to prevent any accidents. Because of this, having a bodyguard was necessary for her. Upon this realization, they didn't voice out any opinions regarding this matter.

Besides, the house Nathan had bought was a two-and-a-half-floor villa. They had eight rooms, so it wouldn't be crowded when Kylie and Frida moved in.

Nathan had just finished teaching his daughter with her homework when his phone rang out of the blue. He walked to the outside balcony to answer the call.

"Master, I have bad news!" Colin Dunne's deep voice sounded.

Nathan frowned. "What's the matter?"

"Master Orcus of the Gehenna is leading the Seven Princes of Hell along with more than two hundred elite subordinates to your house! They're all wearing black attire, playing a dirge and carrying a coffin!

Judging by their appearance, I think Orcus is trying to seek revenge from you."

Nathan squinted his eyes and coldly said, "Are you kidding me? I've warned the Princes of Hell before. Instead of stepping down, they're making things worse? Well, in that case, I shall destroy them! Go get prepared! I'm coming out right away lest they come into the neighborhood and disturb my family!"

"Right away!" Colin replied firmly.

Nathan ended the call and told his family he was going out before putting on a coat. After that, he left the house.
