Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1272

Heinz noticed his boss looked upset so he suggested, "Sir, since Ms. Smith isn't cooperating, do you want me to send someone to pick her up by force?”

Before Seth could reply, his phone rang.

He took out his phone and answered the call. "Seth Carney."

Penny's voice sounded on the other end of the phone. "Hello, Mr. Carney. This is Penny Smith from Cross Group.”

An amused grin flitted across Seth's face. "Oh, so you're the Business Goddess.

Where did you get my phone number from?"

"Your phone number is on the invitation that you delivered to me," Penny replied truthfully.

Seth blinked in realization and chuckled, "Ms. Smith, why are you calling me?"

Penny hurriedly explained, "I need your help, Mr. Carney. My husband had offended the retired Major General, Tristan

Westwood."

"The Channing army had just arrested him. Can you help me ask the Major General to release my husband?"

Upon hearing her request, Seth responded playfully, "Sure, that shouldn't be a problem."

"But Ms. Smith, you refused to attend my cocktail party. That means you didn't even think of me as a friend. Why should I help you save your husband then?”

Penny answered at once, "Mr. Carney, I have no one else to turn to. You're my last hope. If you're willing to save my husband, I'll reward you handsomely."

Seth smirked. "I don't need money. If you want to save your husband, come to Soho Club and have a few drinks with me."

"If you please me, I'll save your husband."

Penny was really worried about Nathan, so she agreed to go instantly.

After hanging up, she told her family and left with the car keys in her hand.

Not long after Penny had left, Nathan came home.

When he opened the door, he was surprised to see his in-laws, his daughter, Sean, and everyone else in his house.

Benson and the others were astonished and elated to see him. "Nathan, how did you get them to release you? Penn had gone to ask for help to save you!"
