Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1279

Meanwhile, in Channing. Nathan was seated near the window at the Cloud Palace on top of Axis of Channing while enjoying his meal.

Colin stood beside Nathan to report something to him.

"Sir, our men in Brimmopolis had just sent over some unbelievable news," he reported sternly.

Nathan asked casually, "What is that?"

Colin replied in a low voice, "Old Master Jordan had gathered many members of the East faction yesterday to discuss how to bring you down."

Nathan furrowed his brows. Then, he relaxed and said calmly, "The older generation has been looking down on the younger generation all this while."

"Especially since I've risen through the ranks too swiftly. I've achieved what they couldn't even achieve in decades in just a few years."

"I know they are not convinced and got upset with me."

Colin acknowledged, "Yes, Sir. You've achieved many great feats in battles, and the President even entrusted you with important tasks. These old men had been upset with you all the while!"

"I heard that Old Master Jordan and the East faction are furious because you captured Tristan. Jordan had already decided to lead the East faction to battle against you to quash the upstarts in the North army."

Narrowing his eyes, Nathan uttered calmly, "Who cares about what others think? We must be optimistic and smile at the hurdles life throws at us."

"They can do whatever they want. We'll do our jobs and ignore them."

Colin agreed. "Yes. I'll relay your orders to the North Army and tell them not to go against the members of the East faction."

Nathan nodded. "Good!

Something popped up in Colin's mind as he said, "Sir, do you know who I saw this morning?"

Nathan was taken aback. "Who did you see?"

Colin was excited. "The retired instructor of Drageon Special Forces in the North, Ronan!"

Nathan who was usually calm turned excited at once. "What? Are you talking about my teacher, Instructor Ronan?"

Nathan was specially recruited into the Drageon Special Forces back then. The first instructor he met was none other than Ronan.
