Zaiden was clearly suffocating when Maurice lifted him off the ground. His eyes were protruding, his mouth gaping, and his face was flushed.
Upon seeing how their Deputy Commander was handled, Bossania's troops quickly lifted their guns and pointed them at Lucifer and his men.
Lucifer coldly snorted, "I am King of the North! I am deputy mayor of Bossania and my ranking is higher than that of your commander-in-chief. How dare you point your guns at me? Do you all want to die? Do you believe I can destroy all of you?"
Bossania's troops were evidently reminded of Lucifer's identity.
Lucifer Leeroy was from the Leeroy family, and he was known as the King of the North.
He used to be a commanding officer. Now, he held the title of major general. Even someone like Commander-in-chief Patrick ought to salute him.
Moreover, Lucifer was the deputy mayor. It was a serious incident for soldiers to point their guns at a deputy mayor.
At the thought of Lucifer's viciousness, the Bossania's troops lowered their guns.
With a look of satisfaction on his face, Lucifer turned to Maurice. "Don't kill him yet. Give him a chance to hand over Sky."
Maurice loosened his grip and Zaiden fell onto the ground coughing and wheezing. He almost suffocated to death a minute ago.
Lucifer looked at Zaiden with hostility. "I'm going to ask you one more time. Hand Sky over to me."
Is he asking as Deputy Mayor or as Major General?
Zaiden had no choice but to reply, "I'm sorry, but I cannot obey your order."
Lucifer's face darkened.
Without hesitation, Maurice reached out and broke Zaiden's left arm with a quick snap.
Aaarghh!
Zaiden let out a loud groan and his face beaded with sweat.
Lucifer asked again, "Are you going to hand him over?"
Zaiden gritted his teeth. "Even if you were to kill me, I still won't hand him over."
