Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1480

Colin flashed a smile and said, "Yanis, I guess you're going to Channing to meet the general and retrieve your son. We have been waiting for you at our general's command."

Yanis scoffed. He hesitated for a moment but eventually got in the black SUV with his two subordinates.

On their way to Channing, they were flanked by Colin and the Elite Eight.

Yanis began to feel uneasy.

He knew his son had offended Nathan but wasn't Nathan making a big thing out of it by sending his subordinates to fetch him all the way from Mayberry?

Does Nathan have any ulterior motive?

He felt anxious, and he broke into a cold sweat when he recalled the illegal activities he had carried out on Christopher's behalf.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. I shouldn't scare myself!

General Cross is just calling me over because he wants to punish Hayden.

Hayden arrived at Channing military districts in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nathan was enjoying afternoon tea with Franklin in the office.

Callan knocked on the door and uttered, "Sir, Colin and the Elite Eight are back with Yanis Howard. They were waiting outside to meet you."

Nathan exchanged glances with Franklin before he said calmly, "Let them in!"

Colin and the Elite Eight soon brought Yanis into the office. His two subordinates could only wait outside since their low military rank didn't grant them the right to enter the general's office.

Colin saluted and greeted Nathan loudly, "Sir, we have brought Senior Colonel Howard here!"

Nathan nodded. "You guys have done a great job!”

Yanis steeled himself and saluted Nathan and Franklin.

Nathan shifted his gaze on him and narrowed his eyes as he scrutinized him. "Senior Colonel Howard, take a seat and have some tea."

"Thank you, General Cross!" Yanis answered hurriedly, sitting on the edge of his seat.

Callan, Colin and the Elite Eight left the office and closed the door when Nathan waved his hand, dismissing them.
