Nathan looked at the pool of blood on the floor before he glanced up at Yale. "You move fast if he was silenced before I came."
Yale was in trepidation when he saw Nathan for the first time.
But he tried hard to calm himself down.
"General, this guy barged into our room, all covered in blood when we were drinking just now. He was armed with a gun, and it seemed that he was being chased by his foe. I shot him because I'm afraid he would hurt us! Is he the man you're looking for?"
Nathan pulled out a chair and sat down. He then looked at Yale indifferently and said, "I know you. You're Boris Tucker's student who was one of the youngest major generals in the East. You were expelled due to a serious case of misconduct. You're indeed close with Mr. Tucker. Where did you get the nerve to attempt to kill my daughter and Dr. Torres? Are you above the law now?"
"General. I don't quite get what you mean,” Yale refuted in a deep voice.
"If I've committed a crime, you can arrest me based on the evidence. But if you have none, please excuse us." Yale wanted to leave as soon as he finished speaking.
However, when his posse and he reached the door, Colin and Ava, together with the special force soldiers had no intention to make way forthem.
Yale was agitated as he turned to glare at Nathan.
"Yale, I guess you've misunderstood my intention. Do you really think I can't do anything to you when there's no evidence? Well, I guess you're wrong. I don't need any evidence at all. You're doomed based on what I just said.”
"Nathan, I don't get you," Yale retorted, seemingly provoked.
Nathan replied calmly, "Well, you guys shouldn't have laid a finger on my family, especially my daughter. My daughter is still lying unconsciously in bed. As a father, it's hard to maintain rationality in this kind of situation. But if you are willing to attest who is behind all this, maybe I can let you die in a better way."
"How dare you!" Yale was furious.
Nathan waved, gesturing to Colin while saying, "Take him to the private room next door. Torture it out of him to find out who his boss is."
"Yes, Sir!" Colin answered.
Yale was perturbed and wanted to resist.
But Colin and Ava were quick enough to take him as well as his men down.
