Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1664

At the Tucker family's residence, Boris was extremely frustrated. A grim expression hung on his face.

It had been years since he had felt such an overwhelming sense of frustration.

His trusted aides were all present with him.

Godric said anxiously, “Mr. Tucker, things are looking bad now. Displeased with the attacks against him, Nathan is determined to investigate those two attacks. At the same time, the leader of the Guardian Special Forces, Will Long, and the leader of the Secret Service, Hailey Reagan, are actively assisting him with the investigation.”

Boris replied, “Nathan is the President's disciple, while Will and Hailey are the President's trusted aides. It's reasonable that they'll help him.”

Godric continued relentlessly, “But Weston, who's responsible for liaising with the Dark Lord, was seized by Nathan's men again! In addition to that, Colson, who's responsible for supplying the weapons, tried to commit suicide because he's been exposed. However, his suicide failed and he's now undergoing emergency treatment in the hospital.”

After a slight pause, he added, “Mr. Tucker, Weston, and Colson know a lot of things. If they managed to extract information from them you might be dragged down with them...”

However, Boris scoffed, “Nathan wants to bring me down just by relying on those two insignificant men? Dream on!”

Smiling appeasingly, Godric said, “It's definitely impossible for him to bring down you, Mr. Tucker. Now that the President's fallen ill, no one has the authority to touch an important cabinet official

like you.”

After those words of flattery, he reminded with a serious tone, “However, we can't just let Nathan capture Weston and Colson. If they reveal too much information and he makes a huge deal out of it, your reputation will still be tarnished even if he failed to bring you down. You're going to strive for the presidential seat in the future. It won't be good if this scandal affected your reputation.”

Boris frowned when he heard that.

Deliberating about it, he mumbled, “Your words make sense. Help me see if there's anyone in the Secret Service who can help me kill Weston. Also, instruct Caspian to keep an eye on Colson in the hospital. If they managed to save him, Caspian will know what to do.”

Godric replied, “Yes, sir!”
