Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1679

The owner of the Eight Treasures, Billy Tipton, caught sight of Kai and his group of savage gangsters entering his shop.

He quickly went up to greet them, forcing a smile, “Mr. Woods, what brings you here?”

Kai pointed at the Audi A6 outside, and asked sternly, “Where's the owner of that car?”

Billy hastily replied, “Why, they're dining in the first room upstairs!”

Kai called out to his companions and the thugs, “You heard him. Go upstairs and give the fellow a taste of bad luck!”

Billy rushed to block their way, “Mr. Woods, what are you doing? I'm willing to talk things out.

Please don't wreck my little shop.”

Kai burst out in anger, “I'm done talking!

“Look at my leg, you buffoon! That bastard broke it!

“I'm here to get my revenge, and you've better step aside if you know what's good for you. I'm sure you don't want me to spill your blood.”

The threat scared Billy out of his wits.

No wonder Kai was in a wheelchair. Someone had broken his leg!

Billy dared not get in their way. He could only watch as Kai and his men marched up the stairs, looking for Nathan.

It wasn't until Kai and others disappeared at the top of the stairs that Billy recovered, his expression darkened as he shouted at the restaurant manager beside him, “Why are you still standing there? Call the police, and inform Mr. Woods' father, Captain Woods.”

The manager and servers quickly heeded their boss' orders. “Yes, boss.”

Kai and his gang had just arrived at the entrance to the first room on the second floor when they were stopped by Colin and the Elite Eight.

Colin and the Elite Eight, who had been secretly watching out for Nathan and Penny, had revealed themselves when they detected disruption while Nathan's family was having dinner.

Kai, on his wheelchair, was surrounded and protected by his companions and a horde of burly men.

He glanced at Colin and the others who were blocking the door to the room, and said harshly,

“Get out of the way. I suggest you leave before my men break your legs!”
