Fang said, “Based on the intel I received, Xyperia has appointed a new commander-in-chief. His name is Saxon Murphy, and I heard he's belligerent.
“He brought a group of soldiers, crossed over the Purgatory Lake, and ambushed our 001 outpost. This was how Lieutenant Sutcliffe was shot dead.
“That bastard even celebrated their victory when they returned to their base!”
Destroyer raised his voice, “He must pay for his action!”
Heptakill concurred, “Lieutenant Sutcliffe and the General joined the military at about the same time. In fact, Lieutenant Sutcliffe had been of great help to the General in his younger days.
Not only Lieutenant Sutcliffe was the General's capable subordinate, but they were also good friends.
“The General would be disappointed in us if we're just going to remain silent and not do anything.”
All the other leaders from the military base agreed. “Yes. Now that they had the guts to trespass on our territory and killed our man, we cannot just keep mum and do nothing. Let's launch an attack and kill that bastard!”
However, Fang immediately brushed off the idea. “Calm down.
“Now that the President has stepped down, and the Cabinet is still in the midst of appointing his successor, I'm sure they'll not allow us to start a war with Xyperia during this critical period.
“Besides, I can't make any decision before consulting the General. We'll have to wait for him to come back first.”
Fang paused for a moment and continued, “Now, since we're talking about the General, there's a dilemma we need to share with you. Colin, I'll leave it to you to tell them about it.”
Everyone turned their attention to Colin.
Colin, who was seated right at the end, stood up and said with a clear voice, “We've received the latest update that Cabinet secretary, Mr. Davier, has decided to visit the North instead of the West.”
Destroyer wondered, “Mr. Davier hasn't been in with the General all this while. What's his intention?”
Then, Fang said with a serious look on his face.
“I'm afraid Mr. Davier has found out that the General is not here.”
