Saxon, Xyperia's new commander-in-chief at the borders!
Clifford was shocked to hear that Nathan wanted to kill Saxon. To him, it was an outrageous move.
About three hundred thousand soldiers were stationed along the Xyperian borders, and all of them would report to the new commander-in-chief, Saxon.
Everyone knew that Saxon was quite a military extraordinaire in Xyperia.
To strengthen his presence in his military base, he chose to intrude into Eurasia's territory and shoot one of their men.
Saxon also wanted to take this opportunity to demonstrate his power and warn Eurasia not to step on their toes.
Not only was he powerful, but he also had tens of thousands of elite soldiers under his command.
What made Nathan think that he's capable of sneaking into their military base and kill Saxon?
Clifford then said in a cold tone, “I understand everyone here is upset about the death of Lieutenant Sutcliffe and wants to avenge him. But I want all of you to stay calm and not be blinded by rage.
“An attack like this can spark a war between the two countries, and you'll be blamed for causing political instability in the country for the rest of your life.”
Yet Nathan remained unperturbed. “The
Xyperians trespassed on our territory and violated the international convention. They'll have to pay the price.”
He continued, “If we do not teach the Xyperians a lesson, they'll continuously step on us. At this point, we have no choice but to fight to defend our land. And I'm determined to kill Saxon. No one, including you, can change my mind.”
Clifford's face turned pallid, thinking Nathan must be tired of living.
At first, he thought of warning him not to embark on this mission in his capacity as the Cabinet secretary, but all of a sudden, another idea popped up in his mind.
