After Nathan's armored car whizzed out from the Xyperian headquarters, they were headed straight towards the Eurasian border.
The wheels of the armored car ran over the ice-covered roads, splashing up crushed ice and mud.
In it, Nathan's body rocked along with the jolted car. His closed eyes had one speculating if he was resting or had fallen asleep.
Meanwhile, Colin was in charge of driving.
Some of the Elite Eight was in charge of communication. Others were in charge of the Gatling gun mounted on the armored car.
The remaining two were staring at Saxon, holding a sub-machine gun.
Saxon's ribs were all broken, and he lost an ear. His entire body was covered in blood, and he appeared to be on the verge of death.
Despite his severe injuries, the look he gave Nathan was full of burning hatred and malice.
He gritted his teeth at the pain and weakly said, “Hey, God of War, you won't get away with this. The Xyperian army won't let you return to Eurasian.
“I know Cody very well. He won't let you leave no matter what.
“Once you reached Purgatory Lake, our fighter jets, helicopters, tanks, and armored cars will open fire. Just you wait.
“At that point, I will die but all of you will die with me.
Nathan opened his eyes at Saxon's words and gave the latter a faint smile.
His smile had Saxon furious. “Don't think that I am only scaring you.
“Cody ordered the troops to open fire. If he killed the God of War, then he would have unprecedented fame in Xyperia.
“Once I'm dead, he will have the chance to be the next commander-in-chief of the Xyperian army.
“An exchange of my life with the life of the God of War of Eurasia would be considered
worthwhile for those sitting high up in Xyperia.”
Right then, Saxon remarked, “Actually, I knew Cody wanted to give the open fire command but didn't want anyone to have a hold on him, so he is pretending to save me. He was trying to show that he was left with no choice but to shoot till the very last moment.
