“Huh?” blurted Brennan, who looked surprised to see Nathan there.
Nathan Cross actually came to me. Is he here to beg for mercy? Or to fight and die?
Brennan chuckled cruelly, “Interesting.”
The hound by Brennan's leg seemed to have sensed the hostility directed at its master, so it got up immediately. With its head held high, its eyes glowed with aggression as it barked fiercely at Nathan and Colin.
The restaurant's waiters and violinists turned pale with fear when they saw how violent the hound had become. Everyone instinctively backed away.
Nathan led Colin into the restaurant, and they walked slowly while Brennan stared discriminatingly at them.
Nathan and Colin walked into the restaurant while Casper and countless subordinates had them surrounded.
Despite the overwhelming number, Nathan and Colin still walked in calmly, like they were browsing the garden in their home. They completely disregarded Casper and his men.
Colin pulled up a chair and used his sleeve to wipe it a little before gesturing politely for Nathan to sit there.
Nathan sat down nonchalantly and fished a cigarette out to light it up. He took a deep puff before turning to Brennan and saying, “I heard you're looking for me.”
Brennan scoffed and commented, “I was just going to send my men to your place to invite you and Ms. Smith over. I'm surprised to see you taking the initiative to come here. So tell me.
What brought you here? Have you finally learned the dire consequences of going against me and decided to sell the company?”
Nathan chuckled and replied, “You misread the situation. My intention is not to sell the company to you. I am simply here to inform you that you have troubled my family. I am especially angry with your threats against my wife tonight, and I am here to discuss the matter with you.”
Brennan's smile faltered, and he demanded, “What are you saying?”
Nathan answered calmly, “I'm saying that you frightened my wife, and the price you pay will be dire.”
Cruelty flashed past Brennan's eyes. He announced, “I see. So you're not here to sell the company. You've come to die instead. Well, then let me grant you your suicidal wish.”
As Brennan spoke, he reached out to tap his hound twice to give the instructions.
