Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 1903

The Lancaster family actually admitted defeat!

In addition to Brennan visiting and kneeling to apologize, Godbert also donated a fortune to atone for his sins.

The ones who benefitted the most out of all that were the citizens of Eurasia who had cancer but were too poor to pay for treatment.

The next morning.

Penny was excited when she shared the news about the Lancaster family backing down. She couldn't contain her curiosity anymore, so she asked Nathan what happened.

Benson, Leah, Kylie, Ava, and the others were staring curiously at Nathan as well.

They were already flabbergasted when Brennan showed up at their doorstep on the previous night and begged for forgiveness. They never thought that things would turn even better and that they would receive the news about the Lancaster family backing down that morning.

They wanted to ask Nathan how he accomplished all that, but it was too late at night. Hence, it was inappropriate for them to ask about it since Nathan didn't say anything.

However, Penny could no longer resist asking what happened.

Everyone leaned in and listened closely.

Nathan answered with a smile, “It's actually quite simple. The Lancaster family realized that they couldn't afford to go after us, so they had no choice but to admit defeat.”

Penny and her family were stunned.

Benson couldn't resist asking softly, “They should've already investigated us before they even came over, Nathan. Why were they so late to realize that we're that powerful?”

Nathan didn't say anything.

Colin grinned at the side and answered, “They thought that the general had fallen, so they wanted to take advantage of that opportunity. However, they now know that the general is also the Chief Military Governor...”

The Chief Military Governor!

Penny and her family all bulged their eyes. Surprise was written all over their faces.

Nathan glared at Colin. Seriously? This is the country's confidential information. It's not

something you can share freely!

They were family who had no malicious intentions, but there were innocent kids and women at home.
