Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2111

Tyron had been a captain among the Draconians. Other than being domineering and unruly, he was known for his hotheaded and inhumane comportment.

He had met leaders from various levels.

Hence, when he saw Nathan and Will, he showed no sign of being intrepid. In fact, if he was really afraid of Nathan and Will, he wouldn't have had the courage to be there.

With a somber expression, Will started in a dispassionate tone, “Tyron, how insolent of you to have brought your men to strike the military prison. Who gave you such a right and courage to show up in this way?”

Tyron's only eye was brimming with intimidating confidence as he answered, “I'm here with the order from the Cabinet secretary, Mr. Davier. The military has locked up the followers of the Davier family for no reason and now Mr. Davier is ordering you to release him immediately!”

Will was exasperated. “What do you mean by 'no reason'? Langston and his men stirred up troubles and disrupted the order. They even tried to harm our general. That's an inexcusable offense. His arrest was well-founded. Mr. Davier is in charge of the Cabinet affairs and has no right to interfere in the military affairs. And you, Tyron, you were once a soldier yourself. Even though you've left, you should have retained your respect toward the army. How dare you assemble your men and assault the military prison? Do you think I won't arrest you?”

Tyron snorted, “Will, how could you criticize Mr. Davier? Mr. Davier has already informed the President and the Chief Military Governor about this matter and even they have stated that they won't intervene in the dispute between the Daviers and Nathan. Who do you think you are? Are you greater than the Chief Military Governor? Even the Chief Military Governor is staying out of this matter and you're trying to interfere with our business?”

The Chief Military Governor?

Unwittingly, Will took a glance at Nathan who was standing right next to him.

Tyron thought that Will was startled by what he said so he continued, “Will, you're considered one of the prime generals of the country and you might even have the chance to be part of the Cabinet in the future. Nathan has been utterly cast aside that even the President and the Chief Military Governor paid no attention to him anymore. It'll be extremely unwise of you to offend Mr. Davier for such a loser. Take my advice. Release the man and leave this place.

Take your soldiers with you when you go. Leave Nathan to me. Mr. Davier will remember this kind gesture from you and he'll be showing you more courtesy when you join the Cabinet next time.”

Tyron was of the opinion that if Will was reasonable and foresighted enough, he would definitely switch to support the Daviers instead of backing Nathan.

However, much to his surprise, Will showed no intention of altering his stance.
