Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2144

The next day, Nathan, Penny, Kylie, and Queenie made their way back to Channing in a discreet manner.

Colin led the Elite Eight while Ava led the Phoenix Squad as they secured the family on their way back home.

The Phoenix Squad was a team that Nathan had asked Ava to set up, cherry-picking the creme de la creme among the female fighters.

Colin and the Elite Eight would still be in charge of Nathan's security.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Squad would be responsible for Penny and Queenie's safety.

Their private plane soon landed at the airport.

Benson and Leah, as well as Sean's family, had been waiting at the entrance of the airport.

Penny was surprised to see them all. “Mom, Dad, and Grandpa. You guys are all here.”

It had been some time since Benson and Leah last saw their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Their eyes brimmed with tears at the sight of Penny and her family. Tugging at their daughter's hand, they could not help but repeat themselves. “My good daughter. You're finally back. We miss you so much.”

Sean was still healthy as ever. Chuckling, the man said, “Yes, we all miss you and Nathan. So, we're here to welcome you home.”

Touch by their gesture, Penny chimed, “Thank

I ” you, guys!

Samuel and Paul grinned, “Penny, that's silly-

We're family.”

Nevertheless, Penny still found their effort endearing.

It was sufficient to say that she had been through a lot all these years.

Just two years ago, the Smiths had deemed her the black sheep of the family. However, she was now officially the most treasured member of the family.

Having said that, she was well aware of the reasons behind the preferential treatment. It was mainly because she was Cross Group's chairman, and that Nathan was an accomplished man.

There was no doubt that marrying Nathan was the reason her status had skyrocketed.

With the thought in mind, she held Nathan's hand in hers, circling it around her own tightly.

She was extremely grateful that Nathan had fallen for her.
