Despite knowing that he might end up being ensnared at the July Festival military exercise, Nathan still decided to attend the event using his real identity. He had decided to bring along Colin, the Elite Eight, the Eighteen Riders of the North, as well as a fleet of warships from the South.
Fang, Elijah, Zach, Lucas, and the other commanders-in-chief all objected to his decision to attend the event without his mask. They were afraid the enemies might take the opportunity to target Nathan.
“It's fine. Those foreigners have no idea I'm Eurasia's Chief Military Governor. They thought I was just the previous God of War who fell out of favor. The most they're gonna do is just give me a hard time. I'm sure I'd be able to handle it even if they wanted to kill me. Not to mention, Eurasia needs a face that's able to ward its enemies off during the joint military exercise. I'm the best candidate for this,” Nathan dismissed their concern.
Since Nathan refused to take their advice, all the leaders could only do things according to his plan.
A few days later, Nathan set out for Jetroina with Colin, the Elite Eight, the Eighteen Riders of the North, and the Dragon Warriors of the naval force of the South.
Avenport was located in Jetroina. It was Ariarica's largest military base in the Western Pacific. The base had tens of thousands of soldiers all year round, and it was equipped with state-of-art warships and fighter jets.
The military base was once again vibrant and busy as countries gathered for the July Festival joint military exercise.
Each of the countries sent out armed troops ranging from a hundred to a thousand soldiers, all of which were accompanied by warships.
Despite their differences, all these nations shared a common enemy—Eurasia.
They wanted to take this chance to flex some muscles and push back on the country.
The real motive why they extended an invitation to Eurasia was just so that they could humiliate the nation and remind the country of its proper place in the world.
Over at the headquarter of Avenport, Simone, the commander from Ariarica who was based in Jetroina, sat at the presiding seat of the hall as delegates from each state arrived.
Some of the most illustrious guests included Nakajima Shinryu, the marquis of Jetroina's naval force; Reno, the General of the Conquerors from Ferropene; and Duchess Catherine, the commander of Eagleland's Royal Navy.
