Swish!
Lyle and the others had Nathan surrounded immediately.
They even got their weapons, including their pistols and daggers, out of their possession. It was virtually impossible for Nathan to get past them. A few men had also gathered around Clifford to keep him safe.
Clifford had calmed down by then. His eyes glowed with hatred when he looked at Nathan and said, “I didn't think you'd find this place, punk, let alone infiltrate it. Honestly, I don't know if I should praise you for being resourceful or diss you for being stupid enough to come here.”
Nathan seemed at ease despite being heavily surrounded.
He sat nonchalantly in his chair and even picked up the cigarette and the lighter on the table. Calmly and gracefully, he lit one up and took one puff before grinning and said, “You're getting slower with old age, Clifford. You should know that I'd only show up here if I am confident about taking you in. I mean, you're not so dumb to think that I'd come here to die, are you?”
Hearing those words changed Clifford's expression for the worse. He commanded his subordinates immediately, “Kill him. Kill him right now!”
He heard a series of rapid gunshots as soon as he said those words.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bullets rained all over them, and everyone bled.
Clifford's subordinates all fell after the bullets forced their bodies to dance around a bit. Blood oozed from their bodies.
It only took a few moments for Clifford's men, including Lyle, to fall in their own pool of blood.
Peace returned, and the only thing that could be heard was the blaring siren.
All Clifford could see was Colin, the Elite Eight, and the Eighteen Riders showing up from the dark with their sub-machine guns.
Turned out, Colin, the Elite Eight, and the Eighteen Riders came over with Nathan.
On the previous night, Nathan got the intel from Catherine and locked in on Clifford's location. He immediately tapped into his powers as the Chief Military Governor to get more than three thousand military hackers over. They worked together to hack into the facility's security
system.
It took them an entire night to infiltrate the system and discreetly took over everything.
That was why Nathan and the others could get into the place.
