Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 22

As the demolition process would be effective in Asiatic City shortly, Penny had to look for a new place for her family.

In the afternoon, Nathan and Penny came to Riverside Gardens' sales center to scout for a new apartment.

Riverside Garden was one of the most notable estates in Channing. It was unquestionable that the residents here were all rich and famous.

Nathan was interested in this place because the new apartments were well-renovated and furnished. Therefore, it would save the family quite time and trouble.

Other than that, the family was in such a rush that they didn't have the option to purchase a cheaper apartment and wait for the interior to be done.

This time, the family also went in casual wear. In some way, they did not look the part - the usual deep-pocketed customers.

One of the agents still greeted them cordially out of professionalism, "How are you today? I'm Gina. I am the assistant manager here. May I ask if you are interested in making a purchase today?"

Nathan answered in a laid-back manner, "Yeah. What do you recommend?"

"Here we have deluxe apartments and a few villas. Which type is your preference?"

Penny had seen how Nathan spent money before. Although she understood that there were plenty of funds in his card, she still did not want him to splurge.

Hence, she answered for Nathan, "A villa is a bit extra. Let's go for an apartment."

Right after she finished her sentence, they heard a mean voice, "Heh. Weren't you the big shot who bought two BMW's in a row? What, you can't even afford a villa now? It looks like someone's got a tight budget to keep, and it was just a show earlier."

The whole group turned around to the source of the voice and found a familiar face.

It was Lily. Wrapping her arms around a fine man, she was the seller who had just been laid off earlier the day.

It turned out that Lily's boyfriend was the sales office's manager, Mason Hayes.

Lily had come to complain about her day right after she had left her old job. She was surprised to see Penny's family again when they walked past.
