Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2201

Suddenly, Catherine's tall figure appeared in the doorway of the restaurant.

She was almost immediately surrounded by Simeon, a bunch of workers and some officials of Eagleland. Despite that, she walked into the restaurant casually.

She looked around and finally noticed Nathan.

Simeon was following Catherine's gaze and saw Nathan as well.

His heart fell with a loud thump. How could I have forgotten that the Chief Military Governor is in Channing? He was unnerved.

No wonder Catherine wanted to come to Channing. She's here for Nathan!

Simeon's expression twisted into one of concern and worry.

To him, it was likely that Eagleland wanted Catherine to carry out her interview in Eurasia because Nathan had offended Ariarica and Eagleland when he won the fight in Avenport. Those countries might be using that as an excuse to get Eurasia to punish Nathan.

Their previous protests hadn't worked out, so Eagleland had specially sent Catherine to Eurasia to get her interview and create trouble for Nathan.

Simeon was feeling more and more worried. He was starting to regret including Channing in the itinerary. All he could hope for was that Catherine and the other Eaglelanders wouldn't leave too much of a mess for him to deal with.

Easton Camden, the major-general of Eagleland, stood among the Eagleland officials standing behind Catherine. He narrowed his eyes and gave Nathan and Penny an unfriendly stare.

The workers still in the restaurant quickly rushed up to Simeon and explained in a low, scared voice, “Chief, these customers didn't want to leave. We'll chase them out immediately...”

“How dare you? This is Nathan, the General!” Simeon said angrily.

The workers were taken aback.

Simeon walked toward Nathan and greeted him with a smile. “Hello, General. Hello, Mrs. Cross. What a coincidence! Did you enjoy your meal?”

Nathan smiled. “It's such a coincidence indeed.”

Nathan glanced toward Catherine meaningfully while he spoke.

With a smile, Catherine said, “You are still looking good as ever, Mr. Cross.”

Nathan stood up. “I was wondering which VIPs warranted the whole restaurant being cleared out for them. So it was you, Duchess Catherine.”

Catherine could hear Nathan's silent mockery in his tone but chose to ignore it as she looked at the two pretty women next to Nathan. “Mr.

Cross, how about you introduce us? Is this your wife?”
