Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2204

Before Catherine could snap out of it, two more instructors bellowed in rage and pounced at Colin in an attempt to take him down. However, none of them were even on par with Smith, so the moment they got close to Colin, they got sent flying backward as well.

At that point, the entourage from Eagleland had flown into a rage. They had never tasted humiliation so bitter in their long, long career before. The whole group was made out of elites among the elites, but all of them were taken out by Nathan's mere lackey.

Easton stepped up, and he looked dark. “Do you really think you are our match just because you beat a couple of our men? I shall be your match this time, you cur.

By then, Catherine had snapped out of her shock, and she stopped Easton, “Alright, that is enough.”

Easton and his colleagues were aghast. These bustards have humiliated us, spat at us, and laughed at us. Why is the duchess letting it slide?

Easton quickly pleaded, “Duchess, these people are getting too arrogant for their own good. Let me teach them a lesson!”

Catherine snapped coldly, “Enough. Have we not been humiliated enough? Do you wish to add more to the stack?”

Catherine had found her bearing again. She knew that her men were no match for Nathan no matter how much they wanted to deny it. After all, she had seen the extent of his power back in Avenport, and it was unmatched.

Even if Easton could defeat Colin, Nathan would easily beat him. There was no point in that, so she thought the fight should end at that point. Besides, after what Nathan's lackey did, she could just tell the queen that they were savages who were impossible to reason with, and all would be well.

Even though Catherine knew that Easton and his men were no match for Nathan, they did not share her sentiment. They didn't attend the joint training during the July Festival, nor had they ever seen Nathan showing his power before. Thanks to that, they would never admit defeat until they fought Nathan.

However, they could do nothing about it. As their duchess had commanded them to stop, they had no reason to fight, nor would they disobey her.

Despite that, it didn't stop Easton and his men to glare at Nathan and Colin. They still refused to admit defeat.

Eyeing the circumstance, Simeon stepped up to calm everyone down. “Ms. Camden is right. We're both soldiers here, so don't take this spar to heart. It's just a little fun, right? Let's go, everyone. I've asked my men to prepare a room for us. We can feast there.”

Catherine nodded. “Lead the way please, Mr. Carlton,” she told Simeon.
