Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2245

Unfortunately, there was no use crying over spilled milk.

And the same went for Jameson and Deckard.

It was already too late for any sort of regret.

“Now, it's your turn,” Nathan said coldly while staring at Jameson’s group.

Jameson's expression changed in an instant as he opened his mouth to stutter. “General, I-I was f-foolish, and I have g-greatly offended you. Please forgive m-my mistakes, and let us g-go just this once!”

“That wasn't what you said earlier. You told me you are the law, and things would not end well for me if I offended you. Also, I clearly remember that you said you have a hundred ways to make my life a living hell,” Nathan replied.

Jameson's heart started to palpitate as he heard those words. In fact, he nearly passed out on the spot.

However, he also knew that now wasn't the time to fall unconscious. Besides, if he died in a coma, the problem still wouldn't be solved, and his sons would be in trouble.

Plop!

He instinctively knelt in front of Nathan and cried bitterly as he begged for mercy. “Mr. Cross, 1 was wrong. I ran my mouth recklessly, and I should be punished...”

At that, he raised his hand and started slapping his own cheeks relentlessly.

The sight shocked Deckard and Amelia, so they also knelt down in fear. They were trembling and sweating profusely, afraid to lift their heads.

Nathan said to Jameson, “Oh, just stop with the act already. Just so you know, I'll let the Department of Justice about your misdeeds. Head to the Department of Justice tomorrow to confess your wrongdoings and accept your punishment. Can you do that?”

Jameson hesitated. However, when he raised his head to look at Sage next to Nathen, he could only answer conscientiously, “Yes, Mr. Cross!”

After that, Nathan turned his gaze toward Deckard, who was kneeling next to him, and said coldly, “Why are you lowering your head. Raise your head!”

Deckard had no choice but to raise his head to look at Nathan fearfully.

Then, Nathan said indifferently, “Do you remember—I once said that if you want me to lower my head, you'll have to kneel and look up to me to see it. Now, your wish came true.”

That sentence from Nathan rendered Deckard full of embarrassment.

Nathan added, “I also remember you saying that you would break my legs, yes?”

Hearing that, Deckard's face paled drastically. He trembled in fear and said, “No, Sir...”
